Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Candace Marie has never been a stranger to the spotlight. At the age of 3, it was quickly clear to friends and family that a budding star was on the horizon when a young Candace proudly proclaimed to Kathy Lee Gifford that she was going to be a star one-day. Determined to entertain, Candace soon found her way on stage in whatever capacity possible—be it dancing, singing, theatre or commercial acting.

Growing up in South Florida, Candace was featured in numerous commercial spots including Carnival Cruise Lines, Hot Pockets and the Truth Campaign. In addition, she was a member of professional dance companies while studying at New World School of the Arts, one of the nation’s top magnet programs. Candace went on to attend Florida State University, where she majored in psychology, became a sister of Delta Delta Delta and starred in several student films as a part of the DGA renowned School of Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts.

After college, Candace made the trek out west to Los Angeles to pursue her career in music and acting. This upcoming fall she will be featured on FAMILY GUY and THE CLEVELAND SHOW as the voice of Miley Cyrus. After playing the role of Miley, Candace was asked to return to FAMILY GUY to play the recurring role of Beth, a new character!

Candace has always believed that the struggle is what makes the experience, which became most evident following her two recent heart surgeries. “Music is therapy for me… it always has been. Writing my lyrics along the way has helped me learn to love who I am, while allowing me to deal with my own personal struggles. Being on that stage and performing is like home for me.”

It is Candace’s passion and unwavering drive that has allowed her debut album, BECOMING A REAL GIRL, to go from being a dream to a reality.
